Bruce Murdock, MD

Dr. Murdock was born and raised in rural Anderson County, SC and graduated from University of South Carolina. He received training at Duke University and the Medical College of Georgia, with Adult Nephrology training at Bowman Gray and Pediatric Nephrology training at Duke. He is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He has practiced Nephrology in Spartanburg since 1985. He is married, has 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Previously a recreational distance runner, his current hobbies include metal detecting and, when time permits, traditional black and white photography.

Matthew Lambert, MD

Dr. Lambert was born and raised in the Baton Rouge, LA area. He was a pharmacist there for 2 years before deciding to become a physician. He finished his internal medicine residency at LSU in Baton Rouge in 2006. He then completed his nephrology fellowship at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO in 2009. That same year he moved to SC and joined Foothills Nephrology and has remained here since. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He is married with children. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he enjoys playing music.

Tanya Tang, DO

Born and raised in Beaufort, SC, Dr. Tang received her undergraduate degree from University of South Carolina where she graduated with honors. She received her medical degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her nephrology fellowship at McGaw Medical Center at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Tang is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. When Dr. Tang is not taking care of chronic kidney disease patients, she loves spending time with family and traveling!

Fran Wise, NP

Fran Wise was born in Rawlings, WY and was raised in New Orleans, LA. She attended Louisiana State University undergraduate program and received her baccalaureate in nursing. She attended LSU for graduate school and received her masters in nursing. She then moved to South Carolina to attend her postgraduate school at USC to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Fran joined Foothills Nephrology in 2009. Prior to coming to our practice, Fran was an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Mary Black Hospitalist program. Fran enjoys spending time traveling with her family!

Addy Cannon, PA-C

Addy was born in Greenwood, SC and raised in north Alabama. After graduating from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, she pursued graduate work in dietetics and became a registered dietitian. While practicing as a dietitian at the Medical University of South Carolina, Addy was certified in nutrition support with an expertise in parenteral and enteral nutrition. She went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon graduation, Addy joined Foothills Nephrology in 2010. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Addy and her husband live in Pauline and spend most of their time off at the South Carolina coast.

Kristen Koch, PA-C

Born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, Kristen went on to attend Clemson University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon graduation Kristen returned to the upstate where she practiced in hospital medicine for 9 years before joining Foothills Nephrology in 2018. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys traveling with her husband, playing with her dogs, and visiting family.
